Sometimes Publishing is a moniker for a studio based practice focused on editorial design, printmaking, and creative collaborations.
In 2021, college football’s most notable stars took the stage for the most unique NFL Draft in history. After more than a year of pandemic protocols and fanless games, we were ready to bring back events in a big way.
The 2021 NFL Draft had a unique footprint — the red carpet entrance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame set the tone for the entire visual language around Draft. We called this concept “Turn Up The Volume”.
For over 8 months (during the middle of a pandemic) we crafted a visual style guide and worked closely with our vendors to execute a larger than life event. From stage design, green room décor, social media, animation, promotion and advertising, and custom records.

The Friday Night Party at Super Bowl LIV in Miami is the most exclusive party for Super Bowl. It brought together the NFL owners and their private guest list for one memorable night on Miami’s South Beach.
The invitation was the first touchpoint for the party and it had the job of piquing the curiosity of all invitees. To get people excited for the party we designed something that had never been done before. The invite is a duplexed piece of screen printed acrylic with a hidden RFID chip, that made the key to entry that much more interesting.

Ohio Northern University embodies the unexpected. Situated in northwest Ohio, their region of the country is a crowded space for higher education, with many small private schools competing against each other and against many big universities.
To help attract the attention of prospective students and ultimately drive enrollment, a rich visual identity and a multi-year undergraduate admissions campaign were developed.

Colby College, a premier liberal arts college in Waterville, Maine, launched the largest fundraising campaign ever undertaken by a liberal arts college—$750 million.
However, before Colby could really get to work we needed a cohesive voice that the community and shareholders could get behind. Enter Dare Northward, a campaign created to reflect the bold and unprecedented nature of the initiatives and priorities that Colby supports, the campaign will make it possible for Colby to introduce transformational initiatives, build on already strong academic programs, improve access to a Colby education for deserving students from around the globe, and provide outstanding new facilities that support a multidisciplinary approach to learning and connect the College to the community beyond its campus.
The campaign video, logo, graphic elements and guidelines all played an enormous roll in getting the campaign off the ground in a way that speaks to the Colby community and beyond.

When furniture rep Matteo Coscia approached 160over90 to name and brand his firm, we started by working to understand how he approaches design; how he transforms spaces to become healthier and more productive environments:
We learned that he and his team take a highly personal approach. They look to understand how individuals interact and engage with their environment. They then bring their unique understanding of ergonomics and aesthetics to outfit spaces with furniture that promotes wellness. The identity design for the Coscia Contract brand strives to illustrate this personal and insightful approach.
The logo mark uses the same unique shape of the dotted “i” as a container which holds the abbreviated version of the logo; the logo mark was designed to be flexible and take the shape of multiple organic forms.
A combination of elements including color, pattern, mark, and type come together to form the brand. Textural woodgrain and a warm red help bring warmth to a company that’s dedicated to considered details.
Classic logo-stamped pencils, a custom labeled envelope, a letterhead with a woodgrain border, and edge-painted business cards come together to form the brand’s stationary package.

The viewbook for the University of Hartford features a tiered cover that’s representative of the University’s experience: different at every turn. Both the book construct and the story begin with a singular, narrow point of focus that physically expands, much as students’ frame of reference and field of opportunity grows exponentially over the course of a Hartford education.

Hub Group is a world-class transportation provider based in Downers Grove, IL, and considered the largest intermodal marketing company in the United States. The project consisted of environmental wall graphics, wayfinding, office space design, and custom screen displays for their newly established headquarters. The concept for the brand was to take motion and movement and convey it through an aspect of time and destinations. Color coding each floor as a different time zone allowed the brand to come to life in a new way, bringing the motion from the road directly into the office space, creating a unique environment that resonates with the progressiveness and forward moving nature of HUB and its associates.
